Looks like back-to-back Sonic news for me!

Sega has announced Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 2, which is set to be released in 2012 for X-Box 360, PS3, and mobile platforms. The Wii will not be receiving this game, unlike the first episode.

Sega is touting a reworked physics engine for this installment, most likely due to the response of the quirks in the physics in the first episode. In addition, it also marks the return of Tails and Metal Sonic. I think its funny how the first game was touted as having ONLY Sonic as a playable player, and now the sidekicks are returning again. I'm happy to see Metal Sonic back though.

I thought the first game, while not perfect, was enjoyable, and was priced appropriately. I'm looking forward to the second installment.
